Xpresso Weekly: Stacking the Shelves (18)

Posted by

Xpresso Weekly is my edition of Stacking the Shelves hosted by Tynga’s Reviews featuring the books I got this week, and I also mention blog news/happenings of the past week.
This week at Xpresso Reads

Hi lovely people! So school is almost here again. For me, that means the end of summer which is depressing so we won’t talk about it, k? I had a super busy week on the blog here so let’s see if you missed something. The Defiance Blog Tour made a stop on Tuesday, you can check my review and CJ’s favorite movies. And on Friday I had the Authors Are Rockstars tour stop by, find out who my rockstar is! πŸ˜‰ I also posted the cover reveal for Timeless by Michelle Madow which includes an epic giveaway so make sure to check that out. There is another giveaway I posted this week: win a copy of Yesterday by CK Kelley Martin which sounds and looks great!

Did you miss any new covers this week? Have a look!Β  Like my page to keep up with my regular cover reveals!

AHHHHH accent! No seriously though, I love yours and Cindy’s (@Tynga’s Reviews) accents- I’m a cruddy Canadian who can only speak English (on occasion… πŸ˜‰ ).

I’ve never heard of THIS IS NOT A DRILL before, but now I am really curious about it. *Off to Goodreads*

  2. Eileen

Yay This is Not a Drill looks soo good! πŸ™‚ And I’m glad you liked Feed so much! And yes lol you vlogs are the only I look forward to on Sundays πŸ˜‰ So I was like “NOOOO WHERE IS GISELLE?!” when I saw you didn’t do a vlog πŸ˜‰ But awesome haul I hope you end up liking that angel book and all your others!

  3. Giselle

@Eileen: The angel books are her other series. Violet Midnight has like vampires and stuff.

@Avery: Haha thanks! I hate my accent! But I love all other accents haha, especially English (England)! <3

You are the second person I’ve come across talking about Feed and Deadline. I’ve now added Feed to my TBR list. I’ve added This is not a drill too as it sounds like a good read. Thanks for sharing!

I can’t wait to start the Feed series. I bought book one based on so many wonderful reviews so I am all set to go as soon as I have the time. Glad to see you are still enjoying the series!

  8. Jen

I missed your vlogs very much! I would love it if you did it every week, even if you don’t get very many books. πŸ™‚ I’ve definitely add Mira’s books to my to-read list after I saw your review for book 1! I can’t wait to see the cover for Violet Midnight. Great haul this week, Giselle! πŸ™‚

  9. Marie Ifmarybooks

That’s a great vlog :). I don’t know any of these books but I hope you’ll enjoy reading them !
Love your accent :). I’m french and I don’t want to do vlogs because i’m sure I’ll sound ridiculous so I really admire you ^^.
    Happy reading !

  10. Carina

    Lovely vlog, my dear!
Really like the sound of the books you got this week – especially FEED has been on my radar for a while and I should probably get a copy of it soon. πŸ™‚ Happy reading!

  11. Sarah Elizabeth

Ooh, not many this week! I once again bought more books than I read, but I did pick up ‘black swan rising’ and the black dagger brotherhood insiders guide for only 50p each so they were super bargains! Will check out your review of feed as I have it but haven’t gotten round to reading it yet!

  12. Amy

Yay!! Missed your face chick!! I still haven’t read Feed even though I bought it last year. I think I am going to get the audiobook from my library. They have both Feed and Deadline. This Is Not A Drill sounds really good. Great books this week!

  13. Kristilyn (Reading In Winter)

Great books this week!! I’m jealous of This is Not a Drill … it looks super good! As do the Mira Grant books … I’ve heard AMAZING things about them! I just hate that the first one is so tiny (like Mass Market) … I wish there was a better copy available. Might be an eBook purchase for me.

    Enjoy your reading!

  14. ShreShre

Lovely haul! πŸ˜€ Your really liking that Feed series aren’t you Giselle? πŸ˜‰ And I really want to see that cover for that coverless one ;D Enjoy Giselle! <3

Onyx was complete awesomesauce!! Love your accent by the way…not to sound creepy or anything just saying. 8) Happy Reading and thank you for checking out my blog.

Great haul, sorry for the late reply, I was on vacation in Alberta (I live in Southern Ontario, so you can probably imagine how long that would take by car, while stopping at a hotel for the nights, very exhausting) and just came back last night. Thanks for stopping by the blog.
