Xpresso Weekly: Stacking the Shelves (19)

Posted by

Xpresso Weekly is my edition of Stacking the Shelves hosted by Tynga’s Reviews featuring the books I got this week, and I also mention blog news/happenings of the past week.
This week at Xpresso Reads

We are in September! *cries*
This week on the blog was nothing but reviews! So I don’t have any special posts to highlight. But I did update the sidebar for the new month – September’s Brew was picked and zombilicious πŸ˜‰ I also scheduled a couple of new tours: Possession and What’s Left of Me. The latter is stopping by just next week! And if you haven’t already, don’t forget to enter to win a finished copy of Yesterday by CK Kelly Martin that ends tomorrow.

Did you miss any cover reveals this week? Have a look!

Giselle, you got some seriously amazing books this week! I am very jealous! πŸ˜‰

I am pretty much dying for Vortex, I really want to see where the whole FBI thing goes. I can’t wait to read it!! I hope that you do enjoy it. =) And you got Scarlet!! I can not wait for that one! I loved Cinder. Breaking Point is another one that I’m super excited for. I hope it’s even better than Article 5!

City of Fallen Angels is my least favorite of TMI series, but COLS is SO much better, so don’t give up on the series!! And all that swag looks SO awesome. Your blogoversary is going to be fabulous! <3

Awesome haul Giselle! Enjoy all those awesome goodies!

  3. Bonnie Regan

hahahaha… I feel like she’s beating a dead horse too. I would have loved it if she had stuck with the original trio; they were fantastic as is!
And I had no idea that the 50 Shades author’s (I can’t even remember her name) husband wrote a book. Hopefully there aren’t any tampon scenes.
I haven’t read Cinder either! So we’re the only two people on Earth left to read it. πŸ™‚ I have the hardcover sitting on my shelf just waiting for me.
hahaha… you cracked me up, Giselle. You’re the best.

I definitely agree with what you said about the Mortal Instruments – book #3 would’ve been the perfect ending. Nonetheless I’m continuing the series, even though I have yet to read book #5, too. πŸ˜€
The books you got look really awesome, my dear, and I’m oh-so-jealous of SCARLET. I read CINDER a couple of weeks ago during my vacation and loved, loved, loved it. πŸ˜€

    Happy reading!

Oh how cool you got Scarlet! I was hoping to see this one out and about soon! Hopefully you can read and review it soon, and of course I want all the spoilers (NOT!). And somewhere I saw Furious and it sounded good so I’ll have to watch for that one – the cover is beautiful (b/c that makes or breaks a book – ha!)

Holy awesome books, Giselle!!! I love all the swag, too!!

I hope you enjoy City of Fallen Angels … it wasn’t my favourite, but maybe reading the book will be better than listening to the audiobook.

And POSSESS! I so want to read that one!

  20. Jenn@OwlReadIt

  21. Marmaladelibby (aka Ange)

Fun stuff as usual Giselle! Insignia is one I picked up this summer when she was doing a signing in Naperville. She’s a sweetie and fun to chat up! I got Possess recently on my Nook when it was cheap and it sounds like a great creepy one and I completely agree that the cover is GORGEOUS! I still need to read Article 15! I think I’m just going to buy it for our MHS LMC since everyone has gushed an gushed about it! Have a great week girlie!

  22. Christina

Your haul gives me grabby hands of epic proportions. The Macmillan books! WANT.

In other news, I hope you like Possess. I was in the like 4% of readers that didn’t think it was a 4/5 star read, so I hope you don’t join me since you bought it.
